The story:  I had to give a book report in my science fiction class, and after reading the novel (which I actually liked a lot), I had no idea on how to present it in a creative way.  This idea popped in my head, and at first I thought it was kinda dumb, but I ran with it anyway, and it was lots of fun.  My teacher was amazed and the class liked it too.  It worked out well. :)
