replication security problems:

mysql> CHANGE MASTER TO
    ->     MASTER_HOST='master_host_name',
    ->     MASTER_USER='replication_user_name',
    ->     MASTER_PASSWORD='replication_password',
    ->     MASTER_LOG_FILE='recorded_log_file_name',
    ->     MASTER_LOG_POS=recorded_log_position;

When you run that query, the password is saved in the mysql_history.  
Unless you setup the ip in the mysql.user table, anyone can replicate 
your data.

The replication slave uname/pwd combo is stored in a text file on my.cnf 
on the slave drive.  Be sure that it's only readable by the mysql 
daemon.
